Dosage instructions
Zyrtec comes in the form of a tablet that can be taken orally. You can either take it on a regular basis, or only when your allergic symptoms flare up. Regardless, you must always read the prescription label carefully before use, and get all doubts about dosage cleared by your doctor and pharmacist. Follow the prescribed dosage schedule carefully, and do not alter it in any way.
Missed dosage
If you miss a dose, don’t take up an extra tablet to make up for the missed dosage. Instead, simply follow your normal dosage schedule.

If you notice drowsiness, fatigue, dryness in the mouth or headaches, consult your doctor. More severe side effects include allergic reactions, like swelling of the lips, nose or tongue, hives, breathing difficulties and throat constrictions. If you notice these side effects, stop the medication, and consult your physician immediately. If you notice side effects other than these that bother you, consult your doctor immediately.
Storage
Zyrtec tablets should be stored between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Over dosage
In the event that you increase the dosage, you may notice symptoms like confusion, sleepiness, or fatigue. Consult your physician immediately.
