What is Soma?

Soma is a muscle relaxant that blocks nerves and relieves painful sensations. Usually Soma is prescribed to patients who suffer from pain and stiffness caused by injuries. Eliminating the discomfort which results from acute painful musculoskeletal conditions, Soma is recommended by some physical therapists to treat joint inflammation and other conditions. Animal studies proved that Soma led to the altered interneuronal activity in the spinal cord and the brain descending reticular formation.

What is the most important information about Soma?

Soma is a strong drug that can be habit-forming. Do not share your medication with other people, especially if they have a history of drug abuse.

How should I take Soma?

You should start with a dose that doesn't exceed 350mg. Remember that if patients use Soma according to the prescribed dosage schedule, they run the lowest risk of having side effects. A starting recommended dose is 350mg or less, and then you can adjust it depending on your body's reaction.

Metabolized in the liver and excreted with the urine, Soma can have a negative effect on your liver, if the dosage wasn't adjusted properly.

What happens if I miss a dose?

In case you missed a dose, it is recommended that you take it asap. If it is nearly time to take the next pill, skip the missed one and resume your dosage schedule.

What happens if I overdose?

If you noticed such overdosage symptoms as vision problems, confusion, muscle stiffness, fainting, shallow breathing, fast heartbeat, hallucinations, lightheadedness or convulsions, you should seek emergency medical help.
