Renova
Uses
Renova is used to treat acne, and brown spots. It enhances the production of collagen, and this also helps it work to erase wrinkles, and rough and dry skin. It has also been effectively used for the elimination of stretch marks.
Dosage interactions
Renova comes in a cream form that has to be applied to the affected areas once a day, before going to bed at night. Take a cotton swab to apply a thin layer of Renova. Use a small dab of cream - just the size of a pea should be enough to cover your face. Cleanse the area of skin that you’re applying Renova to before application. Remember to wash hands after using the cream. Don’t use this medication more than is indicated, and for longer periods of time – this does not increase the efficacy. It merely increases the side effects. Avoid applying near the eyes, or mouth. Also, never apply Renova on cuts or wounds - it can irritate the skin. Use other soaps, cleansers, and acne preparations sparingly while you’re on Renova. Don’t be discouraged if results are not immediate. Renova takes weeks to take effect.
Warnings
Using Renova can increase the sensitivity of the skin to sunlight and cold. Always use sunscreen when you expose yourself to the sun or sun lamps. If you’re pregnant, use Renova only after consulting your doctor, and only if needed. It has not been ascertained if Renova passes on through breast milk, so consult your doctor before using Renova while nursing. Soaps and cleansers can irritate the skin, so use only mild formulations.
Missed dosage
If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as you remember. If however, it’s too close to the next dose, skip that application, and go on to the next dose. There is no need for a double dose.
Side effects
Some stinging or peeling of the skin, and redness is commonly seen. If these symptoms persist, stop suing Renova and consult your medical practitioner. Itchiness and scaling fit has kin may also be seen. Your skin may also feel beery sensitive to sunlight.
Storage
Keep away from sunlight, and away from the reach of children. Store at room temperature.
Overdose
It’s difficult to overdose on Renova, but if you ingest by mistake, or if you suspect that you’ve overdosed, seek emergency medical care promptly.
