Kenalog

Uses

Kenalog is a topical steroid that is used for the treatment of common mouth ulcers.

Dosage

Apply a thin layer of Kenalog on your ulcers just before bed time. It can also be applied two or three time during the day. Don’t exceed a total of 4 applications of Kenalog in a 24 hour period.

Warnings

After applying Kenalog, do not eat or drink anything immediately. If you are pregnant, are planning to conceive or are nursing, don’t apply Kenalog without consulting your doctor. Do not apply to children without consulting your doctor. Do not use Kenalog if you are allergic to triamcinolone, or other ingredients in Kenalog.

Missed dose

If you miss an application, apply it as soon as you remember.

Side effects

If used for a long period of time, Kenalog can be absorbed into the body. This may have harmful effects in the case of children, or if used under dentures. In case of any irritation, discontinue use immediately, and consult your physician.

Storage

Keep away from children in a tightly closed container. Don’t keep at temperatures above 30 degrees centigrade. Avoid keeping in damp places like the bathroom, or near the window will.

Overdose

If you suspect that you have applied too much Kenagol, seek emergency medical care promptly.
