Eurax
Uses
Eurax is a scabicidal agent that is used for the treatment of scabies, and itching that is associated with other skin conditions.
Dosage
Eurax comes in the form of a cream or lotion. Before applying, shake the bottle well, and apply a thin layer of the lotion or cream all over the body, down to the soles of your feet. Leave for round 24 hours, and then re apply another layer to the body without washing off the first application. Wash off 48 hours after the second application.
Warnings
Eurax should not be taken orally, and should not be applied on the mouth, nose and eyes. It should also not be used in excess. While infected, avoid all sexual contact with others to avoid re infection, and wash all personal items like hair brushes and hats, clothes, and bedding to remove all traces of eggs. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Eurax. When you apply to the skin, apply thinly and in small quantities. If you are pregnant, or breast feeding, consult your doctor before using this application on your skin.
Missed dosage
Treatment is in the form of two separate applications of Eurax, 24 hours apart. If you miss the second dose, contact your doctor.
Side effects
Side effects are rare, but if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions like hives, shortness of breath, or throat constrictions, seek medical care promptly.
Storage
Eurax should be stored away from heat and moisture at room temperature.
Overdose
If you notice overdose symptoms like irritation, burning sensation in the mouth, or inflammation in the mouth, throat, and stomach lining; abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, stop using the medication, and consult your physician immediately.
