Estradiol
Uses
Estradiol is used to control and alleviate the symptoms of menopause including vaginal dryness, and flushes. It is also used for the treatment of certain cancers, and to prevent the weakening of the bones. It used to treat vaginal atrophy also.
Dosage
Please consult your physician for a proper dosage schedule depending on your needs.
Warnings
Estradiol is not meant to be used during pregnancy. If you’re pregnant, using Estradiol may lead to birth defects in the child.
Missed dosage
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s too close to the time of the next tablet, simply skip that dose, and resume your normal medication schedule. Never double the dose to make up.
Side effects
Side effects include tenderness in the breast, enlargement of the breast, nausea and vomiting, spottiness of the skin, enlargement of benign tumors, and fluid retention.
Storage
Estradiol should be stored between 59 degrees to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep this medication away from children.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, get in touch with your nearest hospital ER or poison control facility immediately.
